Lindsay

“Club”

I’m told my nickname refers to the action of my golf swing.

I recently retired after over 30 years in the international technology industry, and find myself with time and opportunity to pursue some of life’s less stressful passions.

Living in Switzerland, I am looking forward to more hiking locally. I also intend to try the occasional trek in the Himalaya.

I have done a lot of walking in Scotland, albeit over many years. The moors and mountains have given me much enjoyment. The WHW is a new experience for me and an opportunity to spend time with friends old and new. We will celebrate our great friend Stuart, whom we miss dearly. I know he would be having a good laugh following our progress and experiences.

From a personal perspective the walk will be an excellent way to test my fitness. Two years ago I enjoyed the challenge of Annapurna Sanctuary, and am planning to do the long Mount Everest Hillary route walk in November 2022.

This is an important cause and I am proud to participate.
