With less than 6 months to go until the start of the walk, 2021 is well and truly behind us. We’re now thinking of ways to raise our profile to help the fundraising effort. (Some of us are also a bit concerned that our training schedule isn’t on track, but more on that later).
Jeff Stelling, Sky’s presenter of Soccer Saturday and ambassador for Prostate Cancer UK is following our progress and tweeted his support:
This is a great story about a group of friends-cumulative age over 1000 – paying tribute to their pal and fundraising at the same time. I have seen where they are walking and tbh a bit envious! What an effort though band-of-brothers.uk Good luck to them all !

No need to feel envious Jeff – join us for a day or two and enjoy some fantastic scenery! Many thanks for your support and we hope to do the charity proud.
We’re now starting to actively promote the 1000 Years Hike, and our first newsletter will be out later this month. We would really appreciate it if you, our supporters, would help to spread the word by tweeting, emailing and generally helping to raise our profile. Jeff’s shown the way – let’s get some activity going…
